  • Betsson x KVARTALI – Partnership for the Growth of Women’s Football

Betsson x KVARTALI – Partnership for the Growth of Women’s Football

Through its partnership with Betsson, Kvartali FC has the opportunity to further strengthen its team, expand youth programs, and deepen its impact on the local community.

Kvartali’s women’s team has been one of the standout sides in Georgia’s Women’s National League for several years. Last season, they came within touching distance of the championship title. Their determination, dedication, and professionalism have not gone unnoticed — the club was recently recognized by UEFA’s 2024/25 Grassroots Awards as one of the top three amateur clubs in Europe.

Kvartali’s success, however, goes far beyond results on the pitch. The club plays an active role in promoting women’s football in Georgia, encouraging youth participation, and creating an inclusive environment where every player has the chance to grow. These values align perfectly with Betsson’s global vision of supporting and developing sport at every level.

Ronni Hartvig, Chief Commercial Officer at Betsson:
“There are many reasons behind this collaboration, but at the heart of it is Betsson’s global vision — for us, it’s about a strategy of growth and development. Everything needs to be built on solid foundations, just like when you build a house. Sure, we could just go and sponsor a big name like Boca Juniors to spread our brand everywhere, but our business is closely tied to sport. What matters is that sport develops at a professional level everywhere — and that’s where branding truly begins.

If we don’t have a solid foundation here, we cannot raise football to the next level. I believe Betsson’s involvement in this process, as a global brand, extends far beyond Georgia. We are running similar projects in South America too — yes, we partner with Boca Juniors, but we also work with smaller local clubs in Brazil, clubs just like Kvartali. This kind of support for the football community is an essential part of who we are as a company.”

Nikoloz Jgarkava, Founder of Kvartali FC:
“For the development of our club, a partnership like this is incredibly important. Working with a global brand like Betsson is not only valuable for us but also for Georgian women’s football as a whole. I hope this partnership will be both long-term and productive, helping us grow and strengthen the club even further.”

Kvartali’s story is proof that commitment, hard work, and the right partnerships can become the key to success. It is an inspiration not only for football fans but also for anyone who believes in progress and the power of building step by step.

With Betsson’s support, Kvartali will be able to enhance its infrastructure, develop its youth programs, and extend its reach in the community — a significant step forward on the journey of advancing women’s football.
